That may be for the transition from a start-up to grown up,  the opening of overseas offices, or the preparation for exit. 

I run an advisory practice specialising in supporting ambitious business leaders. 

Q: I have an accountant already. Why use you? 

A: I have been agency side and have practical commercial skills. I have worked for one of the largest agency groups and have built an independent to the point where it was acquired. I will be able to give you proactive and forward looking support rather than historic and reactive information.

Q: How much time do you spend with the business and how do you describe what you do?

A: I can be engaged as a non-executive director, so on a regular but not full time basis to provide guidance or can work as a "part-time finance director" to the business. If the business moves towards a sale then the amount of time required usually increases significantly.

Q: What else can you bring?

A: I know a wide variety of professional experts who can advise on HR, legal, tax and corporate finance. I know how to get the best out of them.

Q: Tell me about you

A: I like to spend time with my family and 2 kids and enjoy a variety of sports to keep sane and feel challenged. I swam for 3 hours as part of a Channel relay swim in 2011 and have done the usual mid-life crisis triathlons.
